Who else is online business is going the wrong way -Why not ask for directions
Recently I was out visiting my in-laws.
After a family dinner, my husband and brother in law wanted to go out for drinks to a new bar that had just opened down the street.45 minutes later, they were creeping down the street at a snails place and he my brother in-law kept saying to my husband “Yo, I know it’s around here somewhere.”
When I he asked him the name to look it up on the phone… he couldn’t remember.
“Alright, why don’t we just ask someone.”
I’ll spare you the details of the conversation that ensued after that, but suffice it to say… his manhood was severely insulted.
Apparently, “real men” never ask for directions.
They finally found the place… 50 minutes later. Turns out, they were only a couple of blocks away , men got to love them. Had they just stopped and ask for directions, they would have been there in 3 minutes.
As I coach people online, I’ve come to realize that most people are just like my brother-in-law: they refuse to ask for directions.
It’s almost as if they believe there is more honor in finding the way to success on their own.
5 years ago, maybe that was true.
But today? That’s just plain stupid!
Why suffer through years of failure and back-breaking long hours at the computer…
When you can JUST ASK someone who has already done it how to get there?
Really… it’s the choice between a 3 minute drive down the street and 50 minutes wandering around aimlessly.
Fortunately, you don’t need to ask. I’m just flat out going to SHOW you where to go.
